Not to be outdone, the 'Stangs returned the ensuing kickoff for a 75-yard touchdown by #18 Tristan Simpson. In the second period, the Redskins tallied two scores: #33 Jake Brantley scooted in for a 13-yard td with 10:43 left in the half. The PAT by Espinoza was good. The 'Skins started right where they left off. #33 Jake Brantley took the second-half kickoff and returned it for 70 yards before being knocked out of bounds. But, on the next play, the ball was fumbled and recovered by the Mustangs. Down deep in Redskin teritory, #71 Josh Conner fell on a Mustang fumble. But on the next play #32 Brandon Norwood scooped out and scored for Walker Valley - a 22-yard td. After 3 quarters, the "Big Red" led 21 to 13. On to the fourth stanza of play. It was off to the races for #1 Patric Johnson. Sixty-eight yards later he was standing in the end zone! Mid-way through the fourth quarter Coach Harig plugged in underclassmen. Freshman tailback #24 Josh Hawkins tallied 7 yards on 3 carries. Loudon was victorious 27 to 13.
