FHS 13 16 15 0 44

This would be only the 6th meeting between these two schools, Fulton leads the series 4-1. The first meeting was in 1966 when Loudon dropped the Jaycee Bowl, 14-13. The Falcons are one of the top ranked teams in our region and the state as well. The Redskins sure had their work cut out for them. Loudon won the coin toss and deferred until the second half. #15 Yoni Espinoza kicked off to #99 DeMarkcus Stevens. 82 yards later Mr. Stevens was in the end zone. Touchdown Falcons. When the opening kick off is returned for a TD, you're in for a long night. The Redskins could have hung their heads and quit, but instead they dug in for a fight. Fulton wasn't finished with our endzone though, as they had three long scores taken off the board due to penalties. The 'Skins finally got untracked with a 40 yard scoring scamper by #33 Jake Brantley. The point after touchdown was added by #15 Espinoza. That first quarter score by the Redskins tied the game at seven points each. The clock showed 7:55 left in the first period, after that... it was all Fulton. The Falcons looked like last years state runners-up. They used blazing speed to score on the opening K.O. return, on an interception, on long runs, and on long passes. The final score is 44 to 7, Falcons.

Next week, the Redskins (1-5) host the Scott County Highlanders. It's homecoming at Dukes Field, game time is 7:30 pm.
