Scoring Summary
  1st 2nd 3rd 4th Final
Mustangs 8 14 0 6 28
Madisonville 0 0 0 0 0
The #1 seed Loudon Mustangs (12-0) earned the right of home field advantage, and played the #4 seed Madisonville Tornados (8-3) at 12:00 noon at “Bruce Wilkerson Field” on “The Hill”.

Your Loudon Mustangs won the toss and wanted the football. Four plays later, the Tornado defense gave the ball back to their offense on downs. Madisonville came in here ready to play… or did they? A fumble on their first offensive play was recovered by Loudon’s #21 Trey Horton. From there two rushes produced eight points from that turn over. #22 Nick Brown (of “Team Brown”) broke the plane from 23 yards out and added the conversion points himself.

Madisonville was on the move, the drive couldn’t be sustained however, as the seven play possession came up empty. Loudon was feasted on big plays offensively this season. Today would be no exception. On the third play of this drive, QB #23 Wade “Sweetness” Plemons scampers around the right side on a necked bootleg for 74 yards and a touchdown! That score came with 7:03 left in the second period.

Plemons was at it again, this time starting from the 20 yard line, he bolted 80 yards on a QB sweep. A great seal block by tight end #81 Kirk Broussard sprung Plemons, allowing him to get out on the edge and outrun everyone to the corner. Coming with only 0:38 seconds left until half time, the score was 22-0, your Loudon Mustangs.

To finish the scoring, #31 Noah Maples took off around the left side on a flanker reverse, 36 yards later, he was standing alone in the end zone.

Tallying 30 rushes for 311 yards, four touchdowns, and one 2-point conversion powered the playoff victory. Quarterback, #23 Wade “Sweetness” Plemons was 2 of 3 passing for 4 yards and a 2-point conversion. Total offense was 314 yards.

The Back MVP was awarded to #23 Wade “Sweetness” Plemons; while the Lineman MVP was bestowed on #55 Cody Crass.

The #1 seed Loudon Mustangs (12-0) earn another shot at the title, and will play Lenoir City “B” (10-2) at Vonore this Saturday at 6:00pm. In week #8 of the regular season, your Loudon Mustangs defeated the Panthers 30-8. The final score of this playoff game was 28-0, your Loudon Mustangs.
