The Loudon Mustangs won the toss and deferred until the second half. The Panthers went three and out against the potent ‘Stang defense. Now on offense, QB #23 Wade “Sweetness” Plemons came out throwing. Connecting on two out of four passes for 15 yards in the first offensive possession, but unfortunately Plemons threw an interception. L.C. took over on their own five yard line. On the first play, the football squirts loose. Up from the pile comes #55 Cody Crass with the ball held high. From the four, #22 Nick (of “Team Brown”) bulls in for the score, to draw first blood.

The onsides kick is recovered by a hustling #99 Kyle “Elvis” Renfro. The ball is spotted on the 45 yard line. #80 Cody “The Eagle” Choate takes off for 35 yards. Brown for 12, and then Brown for eight yards to pay dirt! The conversion is added by Plemons.

The Panthers cover the onsides kick off attempt, but they fumble again on their first play. Big #53 Aaron Ramsey recovers for the Mustangs. Eight plays later, #31 Noah Maples scampers around the right side on a flanker reverse that is good for 13 yards and the touchdown! That touchdown comes in the second quarter.

The Lenoir City QB throws an interception to #86 Miss Hannah J. Kiser. Loudon promptly turns that turnover into points, also. Team Brown lights up the scoreboard with a 44 yard gold rush! Caleb Russell, #39, goes in untouched for the extra points.

At the intermission, your Loudon Mustangs are leading 28-0.

The second half kick off is returned by #11 Zack “The Zack Attack” Dorsett for 26 yards. Since it was the final regular season game, Coach Rowe inserted the back field as linemen and let the senior linemen run the ball! #55 Cody Crass, #54 Luke Newman, #53 Aaron Ramsey all took their turn at eight minutes of glory. Newman did the damage, scoring from the two yard line. To complete the jumbo set, Crass got the honors by posting the conversion.

Defensive standouts were #20 Eric Coffman and #57 Cody Mitchell with three tackles each. #86 Miss Hannah J. Kiser forced an interception and logged two stops.

Your Loudon Mustangs offense turned four first half turnovers into points, and played down hill all afternoon. Tallying 30 rushes for 305 yards, five touchdowns, and three 2-point conversions powered the three quarter victory. Quarterback, #23 Wade “Sweetness” Plemons was 3 of 6 passing for 17 yards and an interception.

The Loudon Mustangs (11-0) run the table during the regular season and claim the #1 seed. Set to play the #4 seed Madisonville Cutters (8-3) on “The Hill” at approximately 12:00 noon this Saturday, the ‘Stangs are on a roll!
