The #2 seed Loudon Hoppers (10-1) played the #3 seed Madisonville Tornados (9-2) at 5:00pm in Etowah. Loudon won the toss and wanted the ball. The potent Hopper offense put together a six play drive, but stalled out on downs. The Tornados were forced to punt, after earning a first down.

That’s how the first quarter would go, ending scoreless. Now let’s get down to business, #36 Jake “The Snake” Mourfield drew first blood, as he motored in untouched for the 63 yard touchdown.

In a tight first half, that would be the score at half time, 6-0, your Loudon Hoppers.

Madisonville was three and out on their first possession of the second half. After the punt, Loudon took over on the 40 yard line. Six plays were all that was needed. #20 Brandon "Speed Demon" Tallent bounced out wide and out ran everyone to the end zone for a seven yard touchdown. #83 Tyler “Golden Toe” Walters attempted an extra point kick, however it was blocked.

The Cherokee’s were on the move, a seven play drive spanned the 3rd and 4th quarters. However Mad’ville came up dry stalling out on downs, as the Hopper “D” bowed their backs.

Two scores put the game out of reach. Mourfield added a 42 yarder, and #55 Trey “The Rooster” Clemmer put up a 13 yard dinger. Loudon took over on downs, with only 0:32 seconds left in the game, QB #3 Justin Franklin was in the victory formation and took a knee.
