The Sequoyah Conference football jamboree was held this past Saturday (8-14-04) at the Sequoyah High School football stadium. The Loudon Quarterback Club played the Polk Co. Wildcats. The Crickets, Hoppers, Mustangs, and Indians each got one 15 minute quarter with the clock being stopped sparingly. Our time block began 3:00 pm; it was a beautiful day for football.

New Head Coach Darren Peters appears to have inherited a re-loaded squad made up veteran players and graduating Crickets. The defense was already in mid-season form, they held the Wildcats to two 3 & out series. The Hopper offense was hitting on all eight cylinders. The work horses were #20 Brandon Tallent (3 carries for 130 yds & 2 TD’s) and #36 Jake Mourfield (31 yds & a 2-pt. conv). The Quarter ended with the score 14-0, Loudon Hoppers.
