The Crickets hinted at the Jamboree, that good things were in the works. Our defense closed down the goal line, while the offense ran up and down the field. #24 Joshua “Action” Jackson seemed unstoppable, as he burned the Bear defense with nine carries for 187 yards and three touchdowns. The defense was led by #6 Macklin “The Mac Attack” Russell with nine tackles. Head Coach Scott Newman earns his first victory back with the Crickets (Coach Newman won the Conference Championship last season with the Mustangs). The Crickets had 18 rushes for 277 yards, four touchdowns, and two 2-pt. conversions.
