Scoring Summary

Crickets 0 6 0 6 12
Sweetwater 0 6 14 0 20
The Crickets game offered mid-season fireworks! Two undefeated 5-0 teams, something had to give. Not only playing for pride, but playoff seeds were at stake as well. This game pitted two of the top backs in the league against each other. #44 Terrell Johnson of Sweetwater versus #24 “Double J” Joshua “Action” Jackson of Loudon; this proved to be quite a match up. Your Loudon Crickets started on offense, they kept the football the entire first quarter. The bad news is that they didn’t score. We’re now in the second period, #44 Terrell Johnson put Sweetwater on the scoreboard. With 1:33 left before the intermission, #24 “Double J” Joshua “Action” Jackson rumbled for 65 yards to tie the score at six.

The ‘Cats added two scores in the third stanza, and played solid “D”. #8 Jack “The Iron Man” Nichols II, fought across the goal line to pull the Crickets closer with only 1:30 left to play in the fourth quarter. The 14 play drive was time consuming and ate up 65 yards as well. This game lived up to it’s billing, as two of the top Cricket division teams battled each other. Round one goes to Sweetwater, I’m sure we’ll meet again in the playoffs. Top defenders were #6 Macklin “The Mac Attack” Russell with 7 knockdowns, #34 Isaiah Lowe added 4 stops, and the Mashburn brothers combined for a sack, a fumble recovery, and 5 tackles. The Crickets had 29 rushes for 189 yards and two touchdowns.
