Scoring Summary
  1st 2nd 3rd 4th Final
Crickets 8 6 6 8 28
Madisonville 0 0 0 0 0
After the coin toss, your Crickets were on offense. #24 “Double J” Joshua “Action” Jackson ran for seven yards, then for 40, and next he bullied across the goal line for a four yard touchdown. The extra points were added by #8 Jack “The Iron Man” Nichols II.

Jackson was at it again early in the second quarter, he ripped off a 35 yarder, to make the score 14-0. That would be the score at half time.

Running hard to open the second half, it didn’t take long for #8 Jack “The Iron Man” Nichols II to break the ice, scoring from 24 yards out.

The Cricket defensive unit had their backs against the wall. Mid way through the fourth stanza, the Tornados were threatening. Madisonville drove the football down to about the Redskin five yard line. The Big Red bowed their backs, and forced a fumble. #10 Jacob Arden came up with that loose ball! That effectively sealed the goal line. It’s now first and 10, Loudon Crickets, with the ball spotted on the three yard line. Everyone on the Loudon side of the stadium knew what the play was going to be… Jackson wide right. You could hear everyone counting down: He’s at the 20, 15, 10, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1… GIVE HIM 6! Touchdown Joshua Jackson! Touchdown Loudon Crickets! A 97 yard gold rush for a touchdown! (Note: the record is 99 yards set by co-record holders Redskin Arnold Hawkins in 1966 vs. L.C.H.S., and by Indian Jesse Booth in 2003 vs. Riceville) The 2-point conversion was posted by #47 Zack “Unit 2” Mashburn.

The Loudon Crickets are starting to put on their play off faces. The defensive unit has steadily improved this season; they earned their 3rd shutout victory against the Tornados. The Cricket defense was led by #26 Jacob Crabtree with five tackles, #46 Jake “Unit 1” Mashburn added four takedowns.

Jack “The Iron Man” Nichols II wore his late grandfather’s (Jack Nichols) 1956 Loudon Redskin Letterman’s Jacket during the homecoming introductions.

The Crickets (8-2, #2 seed) had 33 rushes for 286 yards, four touchdowns, and two 2-point conversions.
