The Sequoyah Conference football jamboree was held this past Saturday (8-14-04) at the Sequoyah High School football stadium. The Loudon Quarterback Club played the Polk Co. Wildcats. The Crickets, Hoppers, Mustangs, and Indians each got one 15 minute quarter with the clock being stopped sparingly. Our time block began 3:00 pm; it was a beautiful day for football.

The Crickets, as always will be a young team this year. Head Coach Scott Newman and his assistants spend a great deal of time working with these young players who have never played football before. Before you know it, Polk Co. put up two scores on our Cricket defense. Not to be outdone, the offense moved the ball well, #24 Joshua Jackson ripped off a 54 yd touchdown scamper. Time expired with the score Polk Co. 16, your Loudon Crickets 6.
