Hoppers vs. Polk County 2002Hoppers 16 Polk County 8 The Hoppers put their 27 game winning streak on the line against a tough Polk Co. team. On their second offensive possession, #36 Nick Brown ripped off a 75 yd run to pay dirt. Brown also added the (2) pt conversion. In the 2nd quarter, the Wildcats tied the score with a 53 yd scoring run. That would be all the scoring until late in the 4th stanza, when #17 Wade Plemons cruised down the right sideline for a 70-yd touchdown. Plemons posted the (2) pt conversion himself. The defense was led by #65 Cody Crass with (6) stops & a fumble recovery, #62 Josh Thompson tallied (3) stops, and #7 Eric Newman had (1) tackle and a big fumble recovery. The final score was 16-8 in favor of the Loudon Hoppers.
