The Cricket Captains were #34 Marcus Howard, #44 Colton Brown, #46 Chaiden Stevens, and #58 Cassie Webb. Loudon won the coin toss and wanted the ball. The Crickets #88 Jacob Crabtree and #26 Dylan “Pickle” Russell teamed up for another powerful offensive performance. #88 Jacob Crabtree carried four times for 152 yards while “Pickle” Russell added 129 yards on seven carries scoring two touchdowns each. On the second play of the game, Crabtree rolled 79 yards for his first score. The second touchdown came on the next offensive series, a 65 yarder. With conversions by #44 Colton Brown and #26 Dylan “Pickle” Russell, your Loudon Crickets are leading 16-0. In the second period, “Pickle” Russell got loose on a 50 yard TD scamper with 2:25 left before half time. Leading 22-0 at the intermission, allowed Head Coach Scott Newman to play some of the younger Crickets. Although Greenback scored twice, the little Crickets held their own. “Pickle” Russell posted the final points of the day with a 45 yard jaunt. Outstanding defenders were #34 Marcus Howard with seven tackles, #61 Cody Townson and #50 Noah “The Hammer” Hughes added three stops each. The Crickets generated total offense of 400 yards on 28 rushes for four touchdowns, and two 2-point conversions.
